Let’s face it. You’re only here because you saw the ads. They claim they will turn you into a coding wizard or digital marketing guru in no time. The Classroom 30x program screams from the digital rooftops about accelerated learning, and becoming a new career. Sounds too good to be true, right? That’s what I thought.
So, I signed up. I jumped in with both feet into the 30x classroom, credit card in hand, head spinning with ambition (or it may have just been caffeine). And while I am glad I did it, I sure do wish I could have traveled back in time to tell myself a couple of key truths, just before hitting the “Enroll Now” button.
This is not a sales pitch or any kind of a bitter rant. Just imagine we are friends sitting down with a coffee, and I am trying to tell you some of the truths. I am going to tell you some of the truth of my experience with Classroom 30x, so you can hopefully walk in with your eyes open.
The “30x” pace is not a myth. Seriously.
The first point I wish I understood all the way is what “30x” feels like in practice. It is not just a vendor-sounding marketing term; it is an ongoing, relentless marathon at full speed ahead.
Think of it this way: Imagine simultaneously trying to solve a Rubik’s cube while drinking from a firehose. That is close to what the first week feels like. The curriculum moves very quickly; if a traditional class spends a week on a topic, Classroom 30x, spends a lot less time on that topic.
That is not a bad thing: it forces you to be efficient and focused. But it absolutely takes the right mindset. You have to be comfortable with feeling a little lost sometimes. This program relies on immersion learning: we throw you into the deep end to teach you to swim quickly.
Main Point: If you are someone who needs to master one concept or skill before moving to the next you may feel overwhelmed by the 30x classroom pace. You need to adopt “learn, apply and circle back” method.
Your Time Investment Must Be Non-Negotiable
This is where I massively miscalculated. I thought, “I’ll just cram this in between work and my personal life…” Spoiler alert: I was wrong.
The program recommends a specific number of hours per week, but in my opinion, you should realistically double that in your mind. The course work is one thing, but the real growth comes from the projects, community conversations, and those deflating but arguably necessary debugging sessions at 2AM!
Here’s what a “typical” week actually looked like for me:
- Live Sessions: Attending (or catching up on recordings of) the actual intense lessons.
- Hands-On Projects: <—- this is where the real magic lies, and dat is the most time-consuming work.
- Peer Work: Collaborating with other students on assignments. This is super valuable but takes way more coordination!
- Self-Education: Supplementing knowledge gaps that the fast pace creates.
If you have a demanding job, family, or use that time to keep a social life, something has to give. “the american psychological association’s guide on time management“. You will need to put a level of focus into blocking off and carving out your study time. If you do not, you will fall behind, and catching up in a Classroom 30x environment is a Herculean task.
It’s Not a Magic Bullet (And That’s the Point)
I had a secret wish that enrolling in Classroom 30x would magically make me into an excellent candidate for the job I really wanted. It wasn’t the case; the program gives you the tools, the structure, and the guidance, but you will have to do the building.
The instructors are knowledgeable, but they are not going to hold your hand line by line for every line of code, or every piece of marketing strategy information. They are more like expert guides on a dangerous mountain climb. “The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook” They show you the routes to take and warn you of the crevasses, but you will have to take the step yourself.
Your portfolio, your network, your understanding; these are all things that you will have to build aid. The program is a catalyst, but not a miracle. Have you ever wondered why some graduates get cool jobs, and others are still searching? That enormous difference is due to the additional grit, curiosity, and effort that they put forth outside of mere mandatory content.
The Power of Community (if You Utilize It)

I came close to making the mistake of being a lurker. During the first couple of weeks, I just silently observed the channel discussions and the forum posts, with hopes to chime in at the right moment when I felt informed. That would certainly be a mistake.
The greatest asset of the Classroom 30x experience (besides the curriculum) is the community of learners. These are the people that will be willing to help you debug your code at midnight, explain the same concept in three different ways until it sticks, and cheer you on with every win you have as a cohort.
Don’t be a ghost in the machine. Introduce yourself on Day 1. Ask “stupid” questions—trust me, five other people have the exact same question and are just afraid to ask. Support other learners when possible as well. This is not just a support network, it is a professional gold mine. These are your future colleagues, references and collaborators.
How Classroom 30x Stacks Up Against Other Tracks
While doing my research, I also investigated Classroom 60x and Classroom 15x. Here are some of my off-the-cuff thoughts on how they compare, as I learned by observing and talking to students.
- Classroom 30x: For many, the “Goldilocks” zone – It is extremely fast but think you could theoretically manage it if you were ready to jump in with both feet. This is aimed at decision-makers in their career who want to dive in and invest a lot of time in a short period of time.
- Classroom 60x: This is the extreme sport of learning. I would only recommend this to you if you were completely free to devote yourself completely – who would have no major commitments (like a job) – and could create a full-time job out of the program – or more. The pace, as evident by the numbers is twice the pace of Classroom 30x, again, as evident by the numbers.
- Classroom 15x: This is better paced for someone who is trying to balance a full-time job or a family. It will take longer, but it will allow you to have a more sustainable lifestyle leading to less chance of burnout. If you know you can not devote a 30+ hour week on the course, this is the wiser choice.
As a side note, I met a few individuals who transitioned from the 60x track to the 30x classroom, because the pace was simply too fast. Deciding the focus of intensity seems to be the most critical decision you’ll make.
The Financial Investment Involves More than Just Tuition
Upon reviewing costs, I thought of the course fee only. I did not consider hidden costs and opportunity costs.
- Hidden Costs: Potentially UPS subscription fees for required software, books you will buy, and maybe we should factor in what you will spend on extra coffee/ takeout orders for long nights.
- Opportunity Costs: This one carries more weight. The time you spend on the program means, at a minimum, the time you aren’t spending working on the side/hustling/working overtime at your day job. The time is the financial issue.
You have to look at tuition, not simply as a purchase, but an investment in your future penny earning potential. And like any good investment, to think about the ROI you also have a plan. What job do you want? What salary do you want to achieve? How does the program help bridge the gap? If you cannot answer these questions, you are not ready to enroll.
My Final Recommendation: Ask Yourself These Questions First Hurry Up!
Ok, after all of this, would I do it again? Yes, but I would be a hell of lot more prepared.
Before you reach for your wallet, please sit down with a pen and paper and write down answers to these questions with brutal honesty. Your future self will thank you.
- What is my real “why”? Is it for a bigger salary? A more rewarding career? Or, just a vague feeling of “I should learn how to code”? The first two will propel you through the grind. The third won’t.
- How many hours can I really devote a week towards this? Look at your calendar. Block off sleep, meals and all of life admin. The time remaining is yours to utilize. Be honest with yourself.
- What is my learning style? Do you thrive under pressure or wilt? The 30x classroom is a pressure cooker.
- What does my financial runway look like, do I have savings to accommodate my downtime if I decide to work less? How will I pay the tuition?
In Conclusion
Classroom 30x is an effective rigorous program! It is not a shortcut—it is an accelerator. The program will test your limits, your patience, and your caffeine levels.
However, if you are entering the experience with the right expectations—a driving purpose, a scheduled way to disconnect from the world, and are prepared to be all in with the larger ecosystem—it can be the vehicle for substantial growth and change. It was for me, despite some stumbles along the way.
The key is knowing exactly what you are signing up for, which I hope I have just been able to provide for you in map form. From here, you take it to the summit alone!
